Vintage Original 1966 Monaco Grand Prix Poster.
These posters could be seen hanging throughout the principality of Monaco prior to the race in 1966.
The artwork is by famous British artist Michael Turner and, as usual in those years, shows a scene from the previous edition.
In this case we see the Ferrari of John Surtees being chased for the lead along the Monaco Marina by the BRM of Graham Hill.
As Surtees ran out of fuel with only one lap (!) remaining, Hill went on to win the race ahead of Surtees' team mate Lorenzo Bandini and his own team mate Jackie Stewart, of course also on BRM.
Surtees was eventually qualified as 4th overall.
As visible in the pictures, this poster is in near mint condition for its age but has some strange ink transfer on the top half of the left border. I have tried to capture it in the pictures.
Other than that, it is in near-mint-condition.
For the exact condition, please check the photographs.
The dimensions are some 60 x 40 cm or 24 x 16 inches.
We have, of course, only 1 available.
