The Evans family Ken, Doreen and Denis were habitual Brooklands competitors being well known for their exploits in M.G.s prepared by their father's Belle Vue Garage at Clapham by tuning wizard Wilkie Wilkinson.

The Alfa was first seen at Brooklands in 1937 where Ken brought it home second in a 10 lap Mountain Championship Scratch race.
